The one who makes it all up
Saskia is an eight-year-old third grader in Alameda, California. She dreamed up Lucy and her heart-shaped mark, the Cat Club and the whole town of Meowintime — usually out loud, usually while dancing. Sasi and her Mommy collaborate on lots of projects. It's fun!
"When I grow up I want to be an inventor, a pilot, a scientist, an artist, a teacher, and a mommy." All six. Probably at the same time.
We have a garden in Alameda with lots of veggies and fruit trees — apple, plum, orange, lemon, lime, a passionfruit vine and more. We grow fennel on purpose, because fennel is how you raise swallowtail butterflies, and we grow milkweed for the monarch butterflies. Then we do the best part: watch the caterpillars, wait out the chrysalis, and let them go.
Longjohn loves to sleep in the garden right next to the fennel and watch the butterflies. He also walks us to school every single morning.
Saskia lives with Mommy and Mama. Mommy sells houses and makes fun stuff for kids. Mama paints with glitter and glue and is a teacher in Alameda, CA. Banksy and Longjohn are both rescues, and both of them are a part of the family.

Longjohn is our newest addition and he's two years old. Every single morning he walks us to school, right along the sidewalk like it's his job.
He loves sleeping in the sun and adventuring all around the neighborhood — everyone knows him. In between naps he chases bugs and climbs trees.
The old guy · 17 years old
Banksy is a seventeen-year-old wire hair terrier whose favorite thing in the world is sleeping all day.
He can't see well or hear much anymore, but he's a happy old guy and he still knows exactly when somebody opens the snack drawer.
Banksy loves an invitation — from room to room, or going up the stairs. He'll stand at the bottom of the stairs and bark until somebody comes and personally invites him up.
